August 8th 2023 from 10AM until 1:30PM
Who can enter: It is FREE for anyone between the ages of 8-12 to enter.
Why: The winner will receive a $25 cash prize to start their savings in their Piggy Bank!! All other contestants will receive $2 in nickels to start their savings in their Piggy Banks! Where: Contest Corner in the Arts Center, located at the NW corner of the Expo’s North Room. What you will need: You will need to pre-register by 8/7/23, so we can send you a confirmation email needed at check-in. There is a limited number of piggy banks, so register early to reserve yours and we will hold it for you until noon on 8/8/23. If a bank is unclaimed by this time, it will become available for any walk-ins. Contest Rules:
- One piggy bank per contestant.
- Once contestants check in, they can choose an available spot at one of our tables, and we will bring them a blank piggy bank and paint supplies. Remember, effort goes a long way with the judges.
- When the contestant is done, they should let a staff member know so we can be sure their name stays with their piggy bank.
- All piggy banks will be kept and displayed in the Arts Center for the duration of the fair and can be picked up on Released Day (8/13/23) between 10AM and 3:30PM. If you cannot pick it up at that time, please make arrangements with the Arts Center coordinator. Unclaimed banks will sadly be discarded, and we do not want that.
- After the Piggy Banks have dried overnight, they will be judged by a First National Bank representative the morning of 8/9/23. The winner will be emailed, announced on Facebook, and a sign will be placed in the display case with the winning bank.
